Being a new and hot item, it quickly attracted the attention of the local rock community, who to this day, continue to support the site strongly. In this formative time, Tribal Nation, fondly called TBN promoted local rock bands and was molded not only by its visionary creator but also by its major followers; CG artists, poets and writers in the well-known section entitled Expressions before becoming the creative movement that it is today.
TBN experienced a period of down time, before it rose again in December 2004 with an even stronger following of over 2, 500 visitors and growing everyday, additionally boasting an eight-person tribalmaster administrative body, five of which presently remain active in the running of the site.
The site remains at the nucleus of a whirlwind of activity and energy. Advertising via flyers, the local radio stations and forms, the most prevalent means by which news of TBN gets around is word of mouth! It is a much talked about movement that continues to sweep T&T. As if a testament to its growing popularity, the site currently clocks a whopping record of more than 65, 000 visitors per month with more than 700 official members and continues to grow with an average of 2 members each day.
Tribal Nation has grown from one man’s dream, to a site championing unknown local artists and musicians and more recently, a teeming online centre for well-known and novice artists and performers to interact with local youth whose dreams.

Aim’s / Purposes
Tribal Nation aims to:
- Encourage through publication the original expressions of local youth in the genres of poetry, short prose, song lyrics, musical composition, digitalised traditional art and computer generated graphic art.
- Promote the original artistic expressions of established and fresh home-based bands on a local and international forum.
- Advertise the social and cultural events surrounding the expressions of this new and artsy local movement, providing awareness and overcoming negative stereotypes.
- Provide a medium through which local young people may interact for recreation as well as candid discussion on both prevailing and novel ideas surrounding politics, society, culture and religion.
Present a place where all young people— regardless of age, race, social class or religious denomination— with similar interests in this movement may find a forum promoting unity and respect for their voices.
